The Seven Deadly Sins Nudes follows a cast of figurines designed specifically to provoke. From clothing ripping apart at any minor graze during combat to nipples that get twice as much screen time than any of the characters themselves – this show’s animation is phenomenal given how much (and sometimes how little) is going on at any one time!
The story picks up 14 years later with King Liones still struggling with controlling his demonic abilities inherited from his father, unwittingly attacking both friends and foes, placing those closest to him at risk. While working to master these powers he realizes he could play an even more significant role in the world of the Seven Deadly Sins.
With Hendrickson defeated and the Deadly Sins disbanded, the knights returned home where they were celebrated as heroes and exonerated of any wrongdoings. Ten years later, however, many Knights have started regrouping again and planning another Holy War.
‘Seven Deadly Sins Nudes’ conjure not just individual sins but an Edenic vision of excess and transgression. They feature dots from Seurat, soft pastel colours from Chagall, mythological references from Redon – but are unmistakably and uniquely Ofili.
